About The Clinician

Lauren, a dedicated student at Walden University, is currently enrolled in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, with a specialized focus on Military and Family culture. As an integral part of her academic journey, she is presently engaged in her internship and practicum at Washington Area Clinical Center. Here, she is actively cultivating her clinical skills, honing her expertise, and gaining invaluable practical experience.

Lauren’s academic training has been extensive, covering a diverse array of areas within the field. Her curriculum has exposed her to couples and family counseling, career counseling, group counseling, counseling theory, diagnosis and assessment, among other vital components. Notably, she is also a certified Prepare and Enrich facilitator.

Beyond her impressive academic pursuits, Lauren is characterized by her unwavering passion and profound empathy. She is exhilarated to embark on a transformative journey as an intern, drawing inspiration from her deep-rooted commitment to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) principles and a humanistic approach. Her primary mission is to catalyze positive change while nurturing the inherent potential residing within each individual. She accomplishes this within a sanctuary of non-judgment and safety, where personal authenticity and self-expression are not only encouraged but celebrated
