Change is difficult—but sustaining it is often the bigger challenge, because it requires understanding why moving forward, even when it feels uncomfortable, ultimately serves us better than holding onto familiar patterns. Most people struggle with this, because resistance to change is a very human response.
There is no universal definition of success in therapy—success looks different for each person. My role is to help the people I work with clarify the mental health goals that matter most to them and to support them in moving toward those goals, at a pace and in a way that feels both meaningful and sustainable.

About The Clinician
Jennifer holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Columbia University and is a Licensed Graduate Social Worker. After several years as a mental health clinician, she went on to lead programs at nonprofit organizations throughout New York City and the Washington, DC area, where she continued to apply her clinical skills in less formal, but deeply impactful, ways. Over time, she realized that she missed direct clinical work and returned to practice with a deeper appreciation for how change unfolds alongside the realities of work, relationships, caregiving, and other real-life responsibilities.
Jennifer works with adults experiencing anxiety and stress, depression and persistent sadness, grief, obsessive thoughts and/or compulsive behaviors, interpersonal conflicts, concerns related to gambling, major life changes and medical conditions. She supports individuals who may feel stuck or overwhelmed and are seeking goals that feel realistic, sustainable, and aligned with their values. And if you’re not yet sure what your goals are, that’s okay—therapy can be a place to slow down, reflect, and begin to figure out what you need and want moving forward.
