About The Clinician
Keyahria received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of West Florida and earned her Master of Arts and Psychology with emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Keyahria has experience working for organizations providing behavioral therapy to children and adolescents diagnosed with autism, as well as working for non profit organizations focused on supporting youths, adolescents and their families with therapeutic services to support family, mental health, trauma, eating disorders and behavioral needs.
Keyahria has experience working with youths and adolescents who have experienced trauma such as child abuse, sexual assault, separation from parents and caregivers. Trauma-focused therapy guides her practice by supporting the creation of a safe, supportive space where clients can process their experiences, build resilience, and develop coping skills, while tailoring interventions to reduce distress and promote healing. Keyahria helps her clients by building clear goals focused on the clients’ strengths and a supportive environment with a pace that feels manageable and empowering. With a collaborative approach change is in the control of the client.
Keyahria’s ideal clients are youths, adolescents, and families experiencing challenges. She supports them in discovering strengths, as well as strengthening their relationships. Her main focus is supporting trauma related, behavioral, family connections and mental health needs. Additionally, she enjoys supporting individuals in developing emotional regulation skills, building resilience, and finding a sense of hope and direction.
