About The Clinician

Kayla received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Michigan State University. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Counseling with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Kayla has several years of experience providing social-emotional and behavioral support to children, adolescents, and families within educational settings. In her roles as a Student Success Coordinator and Paraprofessional Educator, she worked with students presenting with academic, behavioral, social, and emotional concerns, utilizing strengths-based and developmentally appropriate interventions to support their overall functioning and well-being. Kayla has collaborated with parents, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to address barriers to success, coordinate support services, and promote positive developmental outcomes for students and their families.

Kayla’ is focused on anxiety, depression, self-esteem, stress management, life transitions, relationship concerns, trauma, emotional regulation, and supporting children, adolescents, and young adults.

Kayla strives to create a safe, collaborative, and culturally responsive environment where clients can feel heard and empowered.

She approaches change as a collaborative and individualized process. Healing does not happen all at once, and progress looks different for everyone. She works alongside clients to identify goals, build on existing strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and create meaningful and sustainable change. She believes that small steps can lead to lasting transformation.

Her ideal clients are: children, adolescents, young adults, and adults who are seeking support. She values building authentic therapeutic relationships and helping clients develop greater confidence, resilience, and emotional well-being.
