Greetings,
We are writing to inform you of an important change regarding insurance coverage at our practice. Effective immediately, we are no longer in-network with or able to accept AmeriHealth DC.
As of January 1, 2026, many DC residents were automatically transitioned from DC Medicaid into a new program called the Healthy DC Plan following changes to Medicaid eligibility that took effect on December 31, 2025. Additionally, DC Medicaid has made recent changes this month that include a change in payor. Due to these updates, we are no longer able to participate with AmeriHealth DC or the Healthy DC Plan.
We understand that insurance changes can be frustrating, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Our team is happy to answer general questions or assist with next steps where possible.
Thank you for your understanding and for allowing us to be part of your care.
Sincerely,
Washington Area Clinical Center
To our Clients,
We would like to inform you of an upcoming change to our late cancellation policy.
Effective January 1, 2026, our late cancellation fee will increase from $70 to $75. This fee applies to appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours notice, as outlined in our clinic policies. Late cancellations affect our ability to offer appointment times to other clients and to support our clinicians’ schedules. This small adjustment helps us continue providing consistent, high-quality care. Please see image included for all cancellation and no-show fees.
Any appointments cancelled with more than 48 hours notice will not result in a fee. We encourage clients to reach out to your clinician directly through the client portal messaging feature. You are also welcome to call or email the front office to cancel or reschedule session. Please note if the office is closed there will be a delay in communication between the administrative team and your clinician.
Thank you for your understanding and continued trust in our clinic. If you have any questions regarding this update, please feel free to reach out to us.
Warm regards,
Washington Area Clinical Center
To our Clients,
As we approach the new year, we want to ensure you’re prepared for potential changes in your health insurance coverage. Due to recent data breaches, government shutdowns, and evolving application processes, some insurance plans may be terminated, altered, or require reapplication for 2026. Medicaid recipients may also experience updates in eligibility or coverage.
We encourage you to contact your insurance provider directly to verify your plan status and take any necessary steps to maintain coverage. Staying proactive now can help prevent disruptions in care later.
At Washington Area Clinical Center, we understand that transitions can be challenging. If you find yourself uninsured, especially due to circumstances such as homelessness, hospitalization, or other qualifying hardships, we offer support through our Uninsured Fund for behavioral health services. Eligibility is determined based on specific criteria, and our team is here to guide you through the process.
Your health and well-being remain our top priority. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions or concerns.
Warm Regards,
Washington Area Clinical Center
