“While the ability to relate to others is gift, the chance to understand relationships is most meaningful. An understanding that transcends any service offered. That power is held by the individual seeking therapy as a form treatment. It provides the key to your personal reality or world. Unlocked by you, with guidance.“
– Kadija Kamara
Kadija will be joining us in January. If you’re interested in working with her before then, we will begin scheduling assessments with a supervising clinician ahead of their start date. Once Kadija starts, clients can then be assigned to work with her directly. Register as a new patient here!

About The Clinician
Kadija received a B.A. degree in Psychology with a focus in Developmental Psych from The Pennsylvania State University. She is currently pursuing a M.A. in Marriage, Couple and Family Counseling from Messiah University. Her interests include working with children, teens, families, couples, and those dealing with racial, cultural, and identity issues.
Kadija has three years of experience working with children and families at WellSpan Philhaven Day Hospital. This specialized form of treatment allowed her to counsel children and adolescents in the group setting. While facilitating and managing the group room, she ensured that families were an integral part of each client’s treatment. She integrated techniques and interventions with families to help ensure a seamless transition from the hospital to the home environment. Kadija has also worked with a variety of group homes and facilities for at-risk youth located in York, PA.
Kadija has experience working with extensive trauma such as childhood physical and sexual abuse, neglect, and traumatic event trauma. She enjoys working with children and adolescents ages 6–18 and strives to create a supportive, engaging environment where young clients feel understood and empowered.
